Getting the lay of the under-land*

Human microbiome, move aside, time to let the plant microbiome get some of the limelight. Two papers out in Nature this week (ACE participated in one) on the microbiome of the lab rat of the plant world - Arabidopsis - and they got the cover to show they mean business.

Prof Phil Hugenholtz elected to American Academy of Microbiology

ACE Director, Phil Hugenholtz, has been elected into the American Academy of Microbiology for his contributions to the field of microbiology ecology.
